ЭПИЗООТОЛОГИЯ И ПРОФИЛАКТИКА РЕТРОВИРУСНЫХ ИНФЕКЦИЙ КОШЕК
Abstract
FeLV, FIV and FFV are one of the most widespread infectious illnesses of the cats and often reason of destruction
young animals. PCR-test was used for the examination of 1358 cats kept in Voronezh. FeLV, FIV
and FFV genomes were demonstrated in 12,6%, 2,6% and 2,09% of the animals, respectively. Some animals
were positive for both FeLV and FIV (0,74%), FeLV and FFV (0,15%), FIV and FFV (0,14%). Most of the
FeLV, FIV and FFV positive patients were cats aged 1-6 years (64,6%). The FeLV vaccines (Eurifel FeLV
and RCPFeLV, Merial) are currently in wide use.
The results of this first survey in the Russia have shown prevalence values and clinical patterns similar to
those reported formerly from other European countries.
