Abstract
Infectious diseases play a leading role in the human pathology and mortality as before. Infectious diseases
associated with the steady and close contact with animal-companions are significant. Ten-years monitoring
of the most spreading pathogenes in the materials from domestic animals (basically cats and dogs) was
carried out. Totally 4103 animals observed for different reasons in veterinary clinics were investigated. The
following methods were used: direct and indirect immunofluorescence test, cultivation of microorganisms,
polymerase chain reaction, direct electron microscopic indication of viral pathogenes The prevalence of various
pathogenes was as follow: 30% of cats and 4% of dogs were infected by Toxoplasmes; 8,3% of dogs by
Borrelia; 33,3% of dogs and 20,3% of cats by Mycoplasmes; 19,3% of cats by Bartonella; 40,0% of cats and
37,6% of dogs by Chlamydia; 57,2% of observed animals, by various viruses (adeno-, parvo-, calici-, herpes-
, reo-, myxo- and paramyxo-, coronaviruses and canine distemper virus). Among the last animal group the
mixt viral infections were very significant (31,3% of dogs and 21,3% of cats). Moreover, some animal viral
infections were associated with helmintic and protozoan invasions with addition of the significant diversity
of microbial intestinal community. Now the participation of animal - companions pathogenes in the host infectious
pathology is moderate, but it is necessary to consider that the true level of the prevalence of infectious
agents is substantially higher in comparison with registered. Moreover in connection with the import
into Russia of new animal - companions races and species it is possible to expect the raise of the level of infectious
diseases caused by agents none traditional for our country.

Abstract
Disease incidence of dogs babesiosis reached 42% concerning other pathologies in 2003, for comparison in
2002 - 21%. Area of tick-transmitterliving has extended. The connection between the form both size of
the parasite and severity of disease is revealed. Phagocytosis rate parameters were determined in blood of
dog suffering from babesiosis. It has been established, that phagocytyc activity are depended on severity of
disease. Both phagocytyc index and phagocytyc number at mild uncomplicated and severe uncomplicated
babesiosis were increased, when as at complicated babesiosis these parameters were lower, than at healthy
animals. There were anaemia (decrease of quantity of erythrocytes and haemoglobin), leucocytosis (eosinophilia,
shift of nucleus to the left with increase young and polymorphonuclear neutrophiles, monocytosis)
in peripherial blood.

Abstract
S. hyicus is worldwide known as causative agent of exudative epidermitis in pigs. The disease is characterized
by a general infection of the skin, exfoliation and vesicle formation. S. hyicus is part of the normal skin
flora of pigs, cattle and poultry. A strains of S. hyicus producing exfoliative toxins type A, B, C and D (exhA,
exhB, exhC and exhD). 12 Pigs were experimentally inoculated with toxin producing S. hyicus strains DSM
20459, 1289D-88, 6407/01 and K-10. By clinical observations of the skin alterations, all pigs revealed development
of generalized exudative epidermitis. 2 pigs were experimentally inoculated with no toxin producing
S. hyicus strain K-2. The result of this study show that toxin producing strains S. hyicus may cause exudative
epidermitis in pigs.

Abstract
On the base of the monitoring of the world gene banks EMBL and GenBank using the RCR method the
high sensitive testing system for diagnostics of the bovine leukemia virus (BLV) was developed and approved
for the testing of 1250 animal samples. Introduction of the developed system in the farm Klenovo-
Chegodaevo made it possible in 6.5 times to decrease the percent of the infected animals among the 6
months old calves. Thus the using of the PCR together to anti-leukemia measure provides the earlier and
fuller detection of the infected animals and decreases the period of the full recovery of the flock.

Abstract
The main link in the control of epidemics of the animal tuberculosis is the desease diagnostic. PCR has been
appliend for the diagnostic of many infection deseases in recent years. However for the diagnostic of cattle
tuberculosis the PCR method didn`t widely. The purpose of our work was a determination of thr possibility
of using of the PCR method in the diagnostic of goats tuberculosis. It is established, that the PCR method
is not effective of goat tuberculosis. The investignation of the pathological material from goats has enabled
to make a diagnostic of the availability of the tuberculosis agent. It is confirmed by the rusults of the
bacteriological researches.
